Call for Papers: International Political Science Association Conference 2010

The International Political Science Association (IPSA) will co-host its latest international conference with the newly formed Luxembourg Political Science Association (Luxpol) and the European Governance program at the University of Luxembourg. The title of the bilingual conference is "Is There a European Model of Governance?" and the general theme is European Governance. The conference will be held 18-20 March 2010 at the Jean Monnet Building, European Commission. Scholars and researchers are invited to submit paper proposals and abstracts in English or French for all twelve panels. The deadline for proposal submissions is 30 October 2009. More

Eyes on the ICC is a peer-reviewed, scholarly journal devoted to the study of the International Criminal Court. The journal publishes papers and book review submissions from diverse perspectives that examine the ICC and related areas of international criminal law and human rights. The International Corrections and Prisons Association (ICPA) Program Committee invites persons who are interested in presenting a paper at its 2009 Annual Conference in Barbados from 25-30 October 2009 to submit ideas for consideration. The ICPA welcomes any proposals for individual papers, symposia, or panel presentations within the general theme of "New Horizons." Preference will be given to proposals on racial disparity, management of terrorist detainees, justice reform, corrections in post-conflict situations, community engagement, intervention models, and leadership. Presentations may be in English or Spanish. The deadline for submissions is July 31, 2009. More

It suggests that national and global regulation of cap-and-trade and offset markets will be required. Essays also address forest and energy policy, international development funding, international trade law, and coordinated tax policy.
