Call for Papers: Goettingen Journal of International Law 3rd International Law Essay Competition
The Goettingen Journal of International Law is currently seeking submissions for its 3rd International Law Essay Competition. All law students worldwide are eligible to submit a paper. This year's topic is "The Rise of Self-Determination." The best article will be published in an upcoming issue. The deadline for submission is June 15, 2010.
The GoJIL is an e-journal of legal scholarship focusing on International Law. It is the first student-run International Law journal in Germany and is published exclusively in English. The journal is available online and free of charge.

This year's topic, "The Rise of Self-Determination," coincides with the topic of the Compromis for the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. You might want to take a look at the materials for that competition, particularly the relevant treaties and international cases, journal articles, and publications..Guidelines
Papers are judged based on the relevancy and interest of the legal position; the quality of the legal argument; the structure and organization; and compliance with the guidelines. Papers must be no longer than 3000 words in length and must be in accordance with the GoJIL guidelines.Eligibility
